okk…why do u guys even give a —- its their own damn country they can do whatever they want! and if laura bush wanted to visit saudi arabia then she is expected to go with THE COUNTIRES rules!!! you guys are so stupid wasting your time on stupid —- thats none of your business!

i understand a lot of what youre saying, but you in actuality have no idea what youre talking about. the laws have nothing to do with islam, and if you researched anything other than being an ignorant american, you would know that. the laws have to do with their culture and traditions, something that will take a new country to grow out of and progress to the next stage of their country. saudi is sooo new as a country, that it will naturally take time for everything. im not saying that women should be 100% equal to men, all things included- i even think the laws there are rediculous. however, you need to understand all of the issues fully before you go and attack a country. i myself am an american and i date a saudi through whom i have learned a lot about the arab/ islam world. i have gotten to be good friends with many of his relatives, and i know for sure that not everything youre talking about is true. saudi is slowly progressing, just look at one of its main cities- jeddah. its by far the most liberal city

No, coatesmoe, we are not going to go to war over Laura Bush wearing a veil. That is not the point, nor is that even a possibility. The problem is that the George W. Bush Administration has bent over backwards to please the Islamic extremists. His wife wearing the Muslim garb only reinforces the image of a man who has sold out to the people who are covertly at war not only against the United States and the West, but also against the Eastern Christian nations.

Muslim extremists have been attacking over and over. When the first major attack occurred on George W’s administration, he declared a war on “terrorism.” When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, FDR asked Congress to declare war on Japan, not a war on aircraft carriers. Eleanor Roosevelt did not don a Japanese kimono and try to show that the Roosevelts were in accord with the Japanese extremists who were responsible for the attack. Radical Islam is a self-declared enemy; terrorism is a weapon or tactic. George W. and his wife obviously don’t get it.

Laura’s veil is just one more sign that the man in the White House doesn’t have a clue about foreign policy. The real bad news is that all of his potential replacements—both Democrat and Republican—seem to have even less of a clue. We are at war with radical Islam, whether we like it or not. It is truly sad that our leaders don’t seem to understand it, and probably will not, until after the Islamic fifth column has full control of both the Democrat and Republican parties.

Hey, her husband thinks christians and muslims worship the same god, so why should we be surprised. spiritual retardation appears to run unchecked in the bush clan — at least, insofar as dealing with islam (or as the prez might call it: “the religion of peace”) is concerned.

Bottom line: there is ZERO moral leadership of any significance coming from the white house after five-plus years of (alleged) war against an enemy that the prez is afraid to mention by name (islamofascists).

What difference does it matter if she wears a veil or not? Is America prepared to go to war for a veil. This is not southern Spain in the 14th century where the Catholic Church set up courts to rot out everything that did not declare loyalty to the Pope. The Saudis will deal with anyone when it comes to making money.
